RON BLUNT PHOTOGRAPHY

ABOUT RON BLUNT: ABOUT RON

Ron Blunt is an award-winning architectural photographer celebrating 20+ years of artistic excellence in architectural, interior design, and landscape imagery.

Ron works throughout the U.S. and abroad serving a prestigious clientele of world-class architects and designers, luxury hotel & resort brands, and important cultural institutions, such as Smithsonian and National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Born in England and educated at The Surrey Institute of Art, Ron studied with distinguished artist Martin Parr, one of Britain's most controversial photographers. Ron's aesthetic evolved while working in & around London, influenced by Parr's striking compositional style, as well as the sweeping landscapes and idyllic light of 19th C. Romanticist paintings. He is known for creating beautifully balanced images with a timeless quality.

Photographing numerous LEED-certified projects, Ron supports the U.S. Green Building Council's movement to make sustainability and conscious building practices an industry norm. He and Director Keleigh Sherrod share an interest in Vaastu, the fortune-building architectural practices of ancient India, and they apply these principles to their own homes and offices.

Ron garners frequent awards each year from the American Institute of Architects (AIA), American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), and International Interior Design Association (IIDA), among others.

His work features regularly in books and well-known publications: Interior Design, Architectural Record, Architectural Digest, Veranda, Traditional Home, Town & Country, Conde Nast Traveller, Landscape Architecture, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post.
